19 months letter

Hello Rosario

You are now 19 months old and overnight you became a little terror! You are now kicking Sam and hitting him when he's playing with your toy. You are always saying NO to everything all the time that you don't agree with. When I called you you pretended that you don't hear me! You run off when I come after you. You are always crying to watch your favourite program, "In the Night Garden". You talked a lot and asked a lot of questions and you would get very frustrated when I don't understand what you are saying!

Despite how naughty you are you still a very clever baby and you amazed me all the time. At 19 months you can count 1 to 10 now all on your own! You also can name the part of the bodies such as: Head, eyes, nose, mouth etc. You like to say Hello to everyone that you know and you talk a lot! You could talk to me for half an hour non stop! Grandma said that you talked to her for about 45minutes until she fell asleep!

One experience that I found very cute was that one night we were saying our family prayer. I opened up my eyes to see what you were doing. I saw you putting one finger to your mouth and saying Shhhh to Sam (dog) because he was bothering you during the prayer!

I hope you know that your Daddy and Mommy love you so much no matter what.

18mos letter (17 April 2009)

Hi Oreo (nick name that she called for herself!:))

A big change happened on your 18mos B'day as your Daddy bought you a little puppy (6wks old)and named him Sam. Gosh how I feel really sorry for the lil puppy because you ran up to him and try to hold him but you end up holding him by the tail, one leg or by his neck! Your Daddy and I have to teach you how to handle Sam carefully and to be kind to him. Of course you are just a lil baby yourself too and you don't know what are you doing to him but you just love the lil puppy at first sight.

We have to watch you closely because the other day I overheard you saying Uma (kiss in tongan) to the dog and then you just kiss him on the mouth! (URGH!) I also overheard you saying "EAT SAM!" and you were going to give him your lolly pop! Also your Dad said that he caught you feeding Sam with your Bottle of milk!

Not only that but sometime Sam is playing with your favourite toy, Iglepiggle and you were telling him off! You said "NO SAM!" "NAUTI (naughty) SAM!" It was hilarious to watch you telling the dog off! But then you went all crazy and try to kick the dog! Very Naughty Rosario!

You are just a clever little baby. You know where your head, eyes, nose, mouth, stomach and ears are in spanish and english (you only point and you are still trying to learn the words). I'm working on teaching you tongan as well but you only pointed to your head when I say ulu and thats all you know for now.

Rosario Easter Celebration

Easter comes and most people celebrate Easter here in Australia by going to the Easter Show which is way too expensive I mean the entrance fees alone are $32 for adult and $15 for kids! So Erick and I decided that the best way for our lil toddler to celebrate Easter is to do Easter eggs hunting at home, do some paintings and just to teach her a little lesson about Jesus.

I have a photo of Jesus Christ and since my daughter loves to names things I pointed to the picture and I say "Jesu Cristo" (Jesus in Spanish) and she pointed to the picture and says "kisto!" I'm hoping on this Easter she learns how to say Jesu Cristo and next year I could teach her a little bit more.

Before Erick and I do the Easter Eggs hunting we got her to paint an Egg which she loves although the paint didn't stick on to the egg..lol. We also hide little chocolate eggs inside her room and play room. She was giggling, running around with her little basket and talking to herself happily as she found those eggs. We just have so much fun watching her reaction and seeing her enjoying herself.

We then went out to Blacktown Shopping Centre and get her to do painting which only cost $5 and let me tell you how much she enjoyed painting. She paint the fairy all on her own and we took it home and keep it as remembrance of her first Easter Celebration and also first painting.

Redundancy

Just when you think everything is going well at work boom the bad news come! Our OPS Manager Lyndall came to visit our site on last Thursday afternoon. She held a meeting with us and then announced that we have lost our contract from the Government and that's mean our site is closing down! The room went quiet with shocked for about 3 minutes and then I could hear crying and everyone was just shocked. I was sitting there just trying to hold back my tears.

Our OPS Manager explained that they don't really understand why the Government chose our site to be closed down as we were constantly performing really well.  We have went from 2 star site to 4 star site in just one year period. Moreover there are other Job Network site who is only 2 star and they still have their contract.  So the whole thing its just not fair I mean if we were performing poor then surely we would understand why we lost our contract but then we weren't! And why did other Job Network who were performing very poor still have their contract over us. Making it worst there's no explanation from the Government and we are just supposed to take it as it is.

I read in the Daily Telegraph newspaper today that there are about 2500 people who lost their job in Job Network alone and there's an investigation undertaking in regard to the government decision of closing down job networks that are performing well over those who weren't especially in this time where there are so many people who are on center link benefits and are unemployed that really need the best Employment Services Provider to help them.

As bad it is but somehow within me there's a tiny sparkle of hope that everything will be fine. I mean I would finally make the decision to find part time work and spent more time at home with my daughter. Yep all I can do its just leave it to the Lord and just have faith in him.

17mos letter

Hello Rosario :):):)

We just got back from church and you are sleeping on your parents bed. Funny I tried so many times to make you sleep on your cot but you are always very stubborn and would not go to sleep until I put you on bed with us! Poor Daddy has to go and sleep in the living room sometimes because is very uncomfortable the three of us on the bed :).

Anyways today at church you were very naughty during sacrament. You were running around and screaming that auntie Lesieli has to take you outside! You are now 17mos and you already got your own personality! You are very bossy and wants everyone to do what you want or you will scream, bite, hit and scratch them. Your grandparents, aunties and uncles have spoilt you and that's why you are acting like that and your Mommy and Daddy tried to teach you not to be a brats but somehow you always win!

Beside from being naughty you are very smart baby. You would always come to me with books and demand me to read it to you and sometimes when you can't turn a page you would say "Mommy apen (open)!" Other time you see flowers you would say "Mommy look flour!" You also loves bubbles and would cried for bubbles almost everyday! But the most cutest of all was when I come to pick you up from your grandparents house you would run up to me and yelling "Mommy's here!"

You are starting to adore your father very much. Before was very hard cause you spent so much time with grandpa and you might have thought that was your papa! So now every time your father has to go somewhere you would cry and run after him calling out papa! papa! But the cutest was on my day off you would wondered around the house and then would come and asked me "Mommy where's papa!?"

As you could see you are no longer a baby but a toddler and is learning new words everyday. You know what you want and would always come and tell me for example when you were 16mos if you are hungry you would say "Eat Orea (Rosario)!" and if you are thirsty you would say "chose (Juice) pist (please)!"

I am amazed how quickly you pick up words. Your father and I are worried about you because there are 3 languages that you hear everyday; English, Tongan and Spanish! We are worried that you would get confused and won't be able to talk but at the moment its seems that you talk more English and also understand some words in Tongan and also in Spanish. So we are hoping that one day you could speak the 3 of them fluently.

Just remember that your parents love you so much

Family Day

This is where my hubby Erick proposed to me the second time! The first time was outside the temple garden he was on his knees asking me to marry him...and there were people walking out from the temple so I didn't want people to look at us so I quickly said yes and then later on told him that I'm not sure..:):):):):) He asked me 6 months later to marry him again at this spot and I said yes for real!!

Our little family decided on a Sunday afternoon (1 Feb 2009) to go to the park just across the road and just spend some time together just hanging out and watching baby Rosario running around and just having fun. Then we went for a ride to the temple at Carlingford ...and talking about the temple Erick and I have not been to the temple for a long long time and we are trying to make the effort to go there but there's always something coming up...I know excuses...excuses...excuses! Anyways I have been reading the Doctrine and Covenant this week and I know that I need to repent and to go to the temple often and also to remember the Lord Jesus Christ and the sacrifice he has done for me so that I have the opportunity to find my way back to him. Despise my weaknesses I know that he loves me and my family.
